Installing XPS for underfloor heating is a simple process that can be completed in a few steps:
Step 1: Clean the Subfloor
Before installing XPS, the subfloor must be thoroughly cleaned and free of any debris or dust. This helps to ensure that the XPS boards adhere properly to the subfloor.
Step 2: Measure and Cut the XPS Boards
Measure the dimensions of the room and cut the XPS boards accordingly to fit the space. It is important to leave a gap of around 10-15mm between the edge of the XPS boards and the wall to allow for expansion.
Step 3: Lay the XPS Boards
Lay the XPS boards onto the subfloor, ensuring that they fit tightly together and there are no gaps between them. If necessary, use an adhesive to secure the XPS boards to the subfloor.
Step 4: Install the Underfloor Heating System
Install the underfloor heating system on top of the XPS boards, following the manufacturer's instructions carefully. It is important to ensure that the heating pipes or cables are laid out in a consistent and even manner across the entire surface area of the XPS board.
Step 5: Cover the Heating System
Once the underfloor heating system is installed, cover it with a suitable floor covering, such as tiles or hardwood flooring. The floor covering should be chosen based on its ability to transfer heat efficiently and evenly.

The specifications of the extruded board will vary according to its own use. the commonly used specifications of the extruded board are 1200m600 and 2400001200, and can also be customized for processing, production and cutting according to customer requirements.
The thickness of external wall thermal insulation extruded board is usually divided into 10mm and 100mm.
The error should be less than or equal to 2 mm, and the thickness error above 5 cm should be less than 3 mm; the size of qualified extruded insulation board is very standard, for example, the length and width of 2.4 m long and 0.6 m wide board is standard.
Before laying the extruded board, you should brush the interface agent on the side of the adhesive paste and leave it to dry for 20 minutes before use.
The extruded board should generally be laid horizontally, laying from bottom to top, the width of the wrong seam is 1 stroke and 2 board length, and appropriate cutting should be carried out when necessary.
Spread a layer of bonded polymer glue around the extruded board evenly, smear the width of 50mm, thickness 10mm, and leave a wide exhaust hole of 50mm on one side of the board, the middle part adopts point sticking, diameter is 100mm, thickness 10mm, center distance 200mm.
For the standard board of 1200mm × 600mm, there are 8 points in the middle, and for the non-standard board, the area of the glue applied to the extruded board should not be less than 30% of the total area of the board. The side of the board shall not be glued.
