ETPU Extruded Production Line

ETPU is a closed-pore thermoplastic polyurethane. It integrates the excellent properties of TPU and foaming materials, inherits excellent winding resistance, low temperature folding resistance, wear resistance and chemical resistance of TPU materials, and has low density, high rebound and better tensile strength than other foam materials.

There are usually two routes for the preparation of ETPU popcorn particles. One is autoclave, which produces popcorn particles under high pressure through physical or chemical methods.There is also a continuous extrusion process, under water foam, through the way of supercritical or high pressure fluid, when the material in the extrusion die foam, this technology is relatively difficult, but stable production performance, less than the kettle pressure method, production efficiency is relatively higher.

ETPU, that is, polyurethane thermoplastic foaming particles, has been recognized as "magical particles" in the industry since its birth.
In 2007, it was developed by adidas in cooperation with BASF, namely BASF InfinergyTME-TPU;, and in 2013, adidas used this material to develop Energy Boost running shoes with excellent rebound and shock absorption.

As soon as Boost was first published, it became popular all over the world, and people affectionately called it "popcorn".

ETPU is widely used in a wide range of fields. In addition to being used as a high-quality sole material, it has been gradually used in sporting goods, leisure and fitness, furniture and other fields in recent years.

In many applications, anti-yellowing agents are widely used in high-quality ETPU materials, especially in white and light-colored products.

A new type of TPU foaming material with high resilience foam particles is obtained by changing the structure of TPU, which is called ETPU (intumescent thermoplastic polyurethane) (English name: Expanded thermoplastic polyurethane) popcorn, which is called "high resilience lightweight thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer".

It is a new type of polymer material gathered together by numerous elastic TPU foamed balls with very light weight, and it is the most elastic foam particles on the market at present.
