  • For Medium Thickness XPS Foam (1 to 2 inches thick): Aim for a middle range temperature, around 220°C (428°F).

  • For Thick XPS Foam (over 2 inches thick): Set the temperature closer to the higher end, around 250°C (482°F).

Always test on a scrap piece of foam first to fine-tune the temperature settings and ensure a clean cut without excessive melting or burning. Adjust as needed based on the specific characteristics of the foam you are working with.

Cutting Techniques
